MCAD Technologies, Inc. acquires Sunwest CAD SOLIDWORKS and COSMOSWorks Customer Base
DENVER, Colorado, August 24, 2006 – MCAD Technologies, a SOLIDWORKS reseller located in Denver, Colorado, purchased from Sunwest CAD the territorial rights for sales and support of SOLIDWORKS and COSMOSWorks software in New Mexico. This acquisition forms the MCAD New Mexico division which will occupy the existing Sunwest CAD office at the Sandia Science and Technology Park in Albuquerque.
With offices in Boulder and Lakewood, Computer Aided Technology was incorporated in 1989 with a mission to sell and support mechanical CAD, analysis and data management software to the Colorado marketplace. In 1997, MCAD became a SOLIDWORKS value-added reseller.
MCAD and Sunwest CAD have developed very similar approaches to providing the highest quality technical support, training and sales to their respective regions and this made the acquisition a logical step for CATI’s expansion plan. MCAD will be adding staff to the existing Sunwest CAD team to better meet the needs of the growing New Mexico engineering community.
