SOLIDWORKS 2018 What’s New – Defeature – #SW2018
Sometimes it’s the little things in a release that make us happy and let us know that our vendor is listening. This enhancement is just one of those delighters, now in SOLIDWORKS 2018 when you do a defeature the output file be it an assembly or part get the added suffix of “_defeatured” after the original file name. For those of you who don’t know about the defeature tool. I’ve record a short run through of the tool in SOLIDWORKS 2018 PR 1 to illustrate its use. Enjoy.
I hope this part of the What’s New series gives you a better understanding of the new features and functions of SOLIDWORKS 2018. Please check back to the CATI Blog as the CATI Application Engineers will continue to break down many of the new items in SOLIDWORKS 2018. All of these articles will be stored in the category of “SOLIDWORKS What’s New.” You can also learn more about SOLIDWORKS 2018 by clicking on the image below to register for one of CATI’s Design Innovation Summits.
