SOLIDWORKS 2020 What’s New – Mesh Support for More Features
With the previous releases of SOLIDWORKS, we’ve seen some great enhancements for handling Graphics Mesh and Mesh BREP Bodies. With the release of SOLIDWORKS 2020, we see even more functionality for Mesh Bodies which now include support for the following commands:
- Shell
- Fillet
- Draft
- Chamfer
- Delete Face
- Fill Face
- Mutual Trim
- Surface Knit
- Delete Hole
Additionally, if you’ve used any Mesh Body commands in previous versions, you will find that they have a new location in the UI. All Mesh Body commands can now be found in Insert > Mesh:
This will make working with Mesh Bodies much simpler and more intuitive going forward allowing a more streamlined workflow with more commands and making them easier to get to.
Happy modeling!
