SOLIDWORKS 2018 What’s New – Movable Datum Target – #SW2018
When Creating a datum target, it may become necessary to move the datum target for readability. New to SOLIDWORKS 2018, you can now create movable datum targets with the Datum Target Tool.
To move horizontally, you can select the “horizontal” option in the property manager. Here you can toggle between left and right.
To move the datum target at an angle, you can select the “Rotational Movable” option in the Property manager. Within the Rotational Movable option, there is the ability to free drag as well.
