SOLIDWORKS 2017 What’s New: Dimensions – #SW2017
Dimensions
I’m here today to discuss dimensions, and basically let you know the future is now.
Here’s what I got for you:
-Arc Extension Line or Opposite Side:
With the arc extension line or opposite side selected you can attach the leader to an extended radius. If it is not possible, the leader will attach to the opposite side of the arc.
Option Unchecked:
Option Checked:
-DIN Ordinate Origin Circle Sizing:
For those of you DIN ordinate dimensioners, you asked and SOLIDWORKS delivered. Now the origin circle size can be changed, just a quick click inside the leader tab can make that circle any size you so desire.
-Linked Dimensions and Geometrics Tolerances in General Tables:
Now, general tables will display the same elements as your original annotation, be they geometric tolerances, added text, or dual dimensions.
-Hole Callout Instance Count with Mirrored Holes:
In 2017, mirrored holes are included in the total instance count when using hole callout. #killinit
