SolidWorks is a great tool for designing parts that are produced by Injection Molding, Die Cast or other mold based manufacturing processes. This course teaches the student how to design the molds to make these parts using several manual mold creation techniques and using the Mold Tools in SolidWorks mechanical design automation software.

At Course Completion
The student will gain an understanding of the different mold tools available within the core SolidWorks product and will have a greater understanding of methods to create tools with multiple parting directions, fixing geometry to be used for mold tooling, and other advanced topics geared to mold design tools within SolidWorks.
